OLYMPIA ZOGRAPHOS

Olympia Zographos is a British-Greek interior designer and artist, trained at KLC in London and based in Athens since 2019. Her studio and showroom is on Kolokotroni Street, on the second floor of a 1930s building overlooking the old parliament. What was originally a three-room office is now a gallery/showroom, designed by Olympia herself. She crafted the layout, including an art deco-inspired archway, geometric tile floor, custom-made mirrors, furniture (desk, table, storage, LED & neon lights, wash basin), and restored original doors and handles.

The design draws inspiration from the building, Kolokotroni Street, and the surrounding commercial triangle. It combines the old and vintage modern styles, which Olympia describes as “disco Byzantine,” influenced by the area’s markets, neon shops, upholsterers, and craftspeople. Olympia collaborates with local carpenters, neon-makers, and an engineer, creating unique interiors, furniture commissions, and art, all while respecting the building and neighborhood’s history and infusing fantasy and originality.

Olympia also runs Moon Station Athens, a project within her studio inspired by Paris and New York literary salons. It brings together artists, architects, designers, and innovators for small events, such as talks, Q&As, film screenings, and workshops. The venture is curated by Olympia and novelist Rana Haddad, who assists in sourcing art and objects and managing OZD’s direction.
